Leipziger Messe has taken over PaintExpo from FairFair GmbH with effect from 1 December 2020. Since its foundation in 2006, PaintExpo has been held every two years in April at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre. With 537 exhibitors from 29 countries and 11,790 trade visitors from 88 countries, it has successfully developed into the world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology. The next PaintExpo is scheduled to take place in Karlsruhe from 26 to 29 April 2022 as planned.
"PaintExpo is a perfect fit for us. I look forward to working with PaintExpo's strong partners, exhibitors and visitors from all over the world and the existing trade fair team. Together with them and with our many years of expertise in the field of industrial trade fairs, we will continue to expand PaintExpo as the world's leading platform," assures Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "The fact that PaintExpo is now part of Leipziger Messe's portfolio is a strong sign. Especially in these challenging times, we want to use opportunities to further strengthen our portfolio and thus our market position."
Jürgen Haußmann, Managing Director of FairFair GmbH, explains: "I am delighted that PaintExpo is now part of Leipziger Messe, thus ensuring the necessary continuity for customers. With its proven competence in successfully organising international trade fairs and its excellent service orientation, Leipziger Messe will initiate the next development steps for PaintExpo. I am certain that the success story of the event will continue.
Haußmann, who founded PaintExpo in 2006 and developed it into the world's leading trade fair, will remain on board in an advisory capacity. In addition, Leipziger Messe is taking over the PaintExpo trade fair team and the location in Oberboihingen (Baden-Württemberg, Germany). In addition, Leipziger Messe will continue the very successful cooperation with the previous cooperation partners, respectively JOT - Journal für Oberflächentechnik (Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH) and the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Centre as the venue for PaintExpo.
On the part of Leipziger Messe, Gerhard Ohmacht, head of the trade and industrial fairs division, is responsible for the future development of PaintExpo. A graduate industrial engineer with a focus on technical sales and sales communication, Ohmacht has many years of management experience in industry and the B2B environment. Since March 2020, he has been responsible for the portfolio of industrial and trade fairs at the Leipziger Messe group of companies. The acquisition was accompanied by Fair Relations GmbH as broker.

The next PaintExpo will take place - as planned - from 26 to 29 April 2022 in Karlsruhe.
