The Fischerscope HM 2000S hardness tester from Helmut Fischer is designed for a fast throughput of test specimens, which are simply positioned by hand and measured from below. Parameters such as Martens hardness, modulus of elasticity or creep behaviour are determined simultaneously. Typical applications are the testing of lacquers for their mechanical properties or the determination of weathering effects on lacquer layers. Another field of application is the quality control of decorative and functional coatings. The company has designed the measuring system as an easily scalable entry-level model. If customer requirements grow at a later stage, the unit can be easily upgraded to an automatic version with a positioning unit. The performance level can then be optimised even further with a more powerful measuring head.
