Heraeus Sells Noblelight to Excelitas Technologies

The Heraeus Group has signed a definitive agreement to sell its specialty lighting business Heraeus Noblelight to US-based Excelitas Technologies Corp. of Waltham, Massachusetts. Excelitas Technologies will acquire 100% of the shares in Heraeus Noblelight. "Heraeus Noblelight is a leading supplier in the specialty lighting market and has a strong position in market access, problem-solving expertise and technological breadth. We are convinced that this agreement will further drive Heraeus Noblelight's stable growth path of recent years," said Jan Rinnert, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Heraeus Group. The sale is expected to close by the end of 2023, subject to customary closing conditions and receipt of required regulatory approvals. "We see great potential in combining Heraeus Noblelight's technology portfolio with our own range of plasma and LED products. Leveraging our combined investments and expanded offerings will drive growth and provide innovative integrated solutions for our highly complementary customer and product portfolio in a variety of unique markets," said Michael Ersoni, EVP Commercial Business of Excelitas Technologies.
