Jung-Leuchten was in March 2016 the first supplier of LED luminaires in sheet steel or stainless steel with external ATEX explosion protection approval for Ex zones 2 + 22. The LED luminaires are now also available for zone 1 + 21 with the necessary Ex approval. The luminaires can be infinitely dimmed, are DALI-capable and offer their full light output immediately after switching on without flickering. They are suitable for high switching frequencies and are also robust against vibrations and shocks. According to the manufacturer, the average service life of the LED modules used is 50,000 hours, which considerably extends maintenance intervals. Compared to a new lamp with conventional fluorescent tubes, the energy savings with LED technology are up to 20 percent. All components are free of paint-wetting impairment substances.
