The new manual OptiFlex 2 F Spray device has been specially developed by Gema for applications requiring thick coating layers and a stable powder output. This has been made possible by the use of the OptiSpray AP01 application pump, which has an innovative single chamber design and is based on the SIT (smart inline technology) concept. This configuration guarantees consistent and reproducible coating results over long periods even with difficult types of powder. According to the manufacturer, the application pump allows for easy and fast colour changes and reduces powder consumption by up to 15 percent. The new manual spray gun is available in several different configurations, depending on the application. The version with one application pump has a powder output of up to 300 g/min. The gun with two pumps is ideal for applications where a powder output of up to 600 g/min is required, for example heavy-duty corrosion protection systems, and for coating pre-heated parts. The pumps, the sophisticated electrostatic system, the manual spray gun and the control unit combine to produce a high-performance coating system for applications where thick coatings, a stable powder output and high levels of efficiency are needed.
