“The trade fair has developed very well since its successful launch two years ago,” sums up Dr. Markus Heering, Executive Director of the organizer VDW (Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken). “The strong numbers and the positive mood at the Grinding Hub speak for themselves.” More than 11,100 visitors came to the grinding technology trade fair in 2024. Sebastian Schmid, Member of the Management Board at cooperation partner Messe Stuttgart (Germany), says: “Grinding is one of the most important machining processes. We are delighted that we were able to offer the grinding technology community a platform here in Stuttgart (Germany) for the second time. This confirms that we are meeting an important need in the industry with this trade fair.”
According to the visitor survey, 42% of respondents traveled from abroad, from 75 countries. Most of them came from Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Turkiye and France. One in ten visitors came from Asia. The trade fair visitors rated the trade fair positively overall with a score of 1.8. 88% said they would recommend their visit to others. The visitors believed that the trade fair for grinding technology will become even more important in the future.
Around 500 exhibitors from 31 countries showcased their new solutions, products, and technologies along the grinding process chain in Stuttgart (Germany) from May 14 to 17, 2024 in four exhibition halls for the first time. According to the visitor survey, 36% came from the mechanical and plant engineering sector, around a fifth each from the tool and mold making industry and the cutting tool mechanics trade and 16% from the automotive and vehicle construction industry.
The next Grinding Hub will take place in Stuttgart (Germany) from May 05 to 08, 2026.
