PaintExpo - the world's largest trade fair for painting and powder coating will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, from April 21 to 24. With more than 500 companies from 26 countries, PaintExpo is the world's only information and procurement platform that covers the entire spectrum of topics for industrial painting technology. The global players of the industry are represented here as well as innovative medium-sized and smaller companies. Painting companies are required to increase quality, productivity and sustainability, to improve efficiency and to react flexibly to different batch sizes and design requirements. Ideas and solutions for this are presented at PaintExpo. For example, for the automation and digitalization of painting processes. The demand is no longer just for the automation of individual painting steps, but rather for networking the process chain. Among other things, multi-axis robots and robotic painting cells for wet painting and powder coating specially designed for the coating industry will be presented. Paint preparation and transport as well as dosing and colour change are further areas that can be effectively automated and made more material-saving by new developments. New gun control systems ensure very precise application. All painting parameters can be easily accessed - in some cases even from a smartphone or tablet. Paint preparation and transport as well as dosing and colour change are further areas that can be effectively automated and made more material-saving by new developments. The trend towards greater individualization is increasingly demanding multi-colored coatings. The aim is to be able to coat without masking or with a significantly reduced masking effort and less overspray. The use of electrostatic application systems, for example, makes a contribution to this. A new application solution that works completely without overspray is now in series production for two-tone painting of vehicle roofs.
