Particularly elaborate paintwork is planned for electric cars from the upcoming Tesla factory at the Grünheide site in Germany: The Giga Berlin will have the most modern paint shop in the world, CEO Elon Musk announced on Twitter. According to Musk, the paint shop planned there will feature technology that enables a color gradient that subtly changes with the curvature of the body. This should then also bring an end to the times of limited color selection - and possibly also ongoing complaints about paint quality - at Tesla. The other Tesla factories will also get the new paint technology, but only later: Fremont and Shanghai will also be modernized "over time," Musk wrote in another Twitter message. But it is difficult to make such changes during ongoing operations.
