Global Axalta study - White dominates for the new time

Axalta has published the 67th edition of its Global Automotive Color Popularity Report. The results of the annual report clearly show the three most popular car colors: White (38%), black (19%) and grey (13%). White has been number one worldwide since 2011. Silver is no longer among the top three global color favorites this year and has the lowest level of popularity in more than ten years at 10%. According to the study, grey is gaining popularity in all regions of the world. The top four colours - white, black, grey, silver - continue to dominate vehicles and represent 80% of the world market share. In the regions themselves, there were hardly any changes in colour preferences last year - with one exception: white lost 1% in Europe and grey gained 2%. This makes grey the number one in Europe for the first time.
