Lissmac has developed the SBM-L 1000 G1S2 and SBM-L 1500 G1S2 grinding and deburring machines for deburring and edge rounding both sides of punched, laser and fine plasma-cut blanks. The SBM-L offers the highest edge quality in the processing of steel, stainless steel and aluminium sheets. The blanks to be processed first meet a sanding belt unit arranged at the top and bottom of the machine. These units free the blanks from cutting splashes and heavy burrs on the cutting edges. The blanks then pass through two abrasive flap units installed at the top and two at the bottom, which round off both the inner and outer cutting edges. The abrasive flap units also work in opposite directions. In this way, all edges of the blanks are completely machined in a single pass. In accordance with the first process stage, both the upper and lower abrasive flap units can be moved independently of each other or switched on and off in pairs. The blanks to be processed may be up to 50 millimeters thick.
