The conveyor technology manufacturer Caldan Conveyor A/S has expanded its production site at its main plant in Denmark to over 7000 square meters. At the beginning of March, more than 2700 square meters of production halls were put into operation on a site adjacent to the existing plant. "In order to be able to work effectively with the increased production volumes in recent years, expansion was unavoidable. With the new modern halls, we are well equipped for the coming years," says Niels Calundan, who manages the company together with his brother Jens. The expansion has also optimised the material flow in production and created additional areas for R&D. "...especially with regard to technical solutions, test setups are always necessary and useful. But also in order to optimise commissioning times, we can test special designs here before delivery. With the new halls up to 9 meters high, we have completely different possibilities here than before," says Niels Calundan. Following the R&D areas, a showroom is to be built by the summer. In this showroom customers can see application examples of Caldan conveyor technology and thus discover the possible applications for their area. Caldan Conveyor currently has around 145 employees in Galten and its subsidiaries in Germany, England, France, China and India.
