Painting Cars More Efficiently

As much as 70 % of the energy needed to manufacture a car is used in the painting process. If energy savings of more than 75 % can be achieved in this area, the result is not only a huge drop in production costs, but also a reduction in CO emissions. The paint shop at Volkswagen’s plant in Bratislava has demonstrated that this is possible.
