CETS, the umbrella organization of national European associations and federations, but not limited to the EU, has been led by Dave Elliott from the UK for the past nine years.  At the general meeting on June 24, the presidium had to be newly elected in accordance with the statutes. Dr. Malte Zimmer, ZVO Head of Environmental and Chemicals Policy, was elected President. Vice President was Jaakko Kapanen from Finland. The third member of the board is Anne-Sophie Maze from France. The task of the new Presidium in the next three years will be to continue and, if possible, expand the work that has been successful to date. The surface industry is facing great challenges in the context of the Green Deal and the transformations, which make a strong and well-equipped European representation necessary.
