Formnext Chicago will not take place in 2025 and has been postponed. The current economic environment, with its cyclical challenges and geopolitical uncertainties, as well as the additive manufacturing industry’s transformation phase, are putting many companies under pressure. In addition, a scheduling conflict with RAPID + TCT Detroit is complicating the decision-making process for exhibitors and visitors, many of whom would have had to choose between two important events.
Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH (Germany) has been working with all parties and players to resolve the scheduling situation until the very end. “After careful consideration and intensive discussions with our most important partners, we have jointly decided to postpone the start of Formnext Chicago, which was originally scheduled for April 8-10, 2025,” explains Sascha Wenzler, Vice President at Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “This decision was not taken lightly. We are convinced that it is in the best interest of the industry and the companies involved.”
In partnership with AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology, Gardner Business Media and Messe Frankfurt USA, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH is committed to developing a new strategic approach for the US market. “Our shared goal and priority are to support the user and manufacturer community in a way that truly benefits their businesses, and we are convinced that postponement is the best way to achieve this goal,” confirms Douglas Woods, President of AMT. “We would like to thank our partners and the entire community for their support and understanding, and we look forward to working together to determine the next steps for Formnext in the US,” adds Petra Haarburger, President at Mesago Messe-Frankfurt GmbH.
Formnext Chicago aims to introduce additive manufacturing (AM) to companies in the US that have not yet encountered this technology, and to show how it can be successfully and profitably used in industry.
